Sweet, Sweet Days

Emma,

You are in a bye, bye  phase.  You've been saying bye, bye since before you turned one, but I think you are just now figuring out what it means.  Today before we went to school you told your babies, the roses, the dogs, the house, the garage, & our neighbors bye, bye.  You leave one room & tell it bye, bye.  We throw your banana peel away & it's bye, bye.  It's a cute phase & I love all of your little bye, byes.

You are also into a cuddling phase. You've never been one to really cuddle, but you have been lately.  Today I was in the kitchen getting your snack & you pulled me to the ground & I sat.  You got into my lap & loved on me.  We sat in the kitchen floor for probably a good 20 minutes cuddling, giggling, rubbing noses & giving kisses.  I want to bottle that moment up.  You are so sweet.  I love this phase. I love every cuddle, kiss, giggle, and I love every ounce of you!

bye bye, paci.

Tonight was night #1 without your paci.  I knew you loved it, but didn't really think you'd cry/scream for an hour for it. Your dad hated every minute.  I did too, but I just kept having to remind myself that it's for the greater good.  Even though you really didn't like me an hour ago, you are now fast asleep without your paci.  And you are loved more than you know.  I pray that tomorrow is a little easier for the both of us!

Easter

Not a fan of the Easter bunny.

Every day with you is such a joy, but Easter was really special this year.  Easter morning you woke to find a few goodies that the Easter bunny had left for you.  Then before breakfast we looked at the resurrection garden we made on Friday & all of the flowers were there!  I so wish I could have had pictures of your face.  You were so excited to see all of the flowers & smell of them.  I hope we keep this tradition throughout your childhood years; and I pray that the you learn that Easter isn't about bunnies & eggs, but about the resurrection of our Savior.  After breakfast we headed to church....

then off to lunch at Uncle Sam & Aunt Janna's---sweet fun with family!  Sam & Max hid Easter eggs for you to find; and then they helped you hunt them all.

Aunt Janna & I attempted to get a picture of the 3 of y'all....

We spent ALL day with the boys--oh so fun, oh so blessed!

I love these days with you!

love, mom
