spring weekend

spring has sprung, and oh how you love being outside.  we took you to the lake house for the first time last weekend.  we spent our days laying out on the dock enjoying this beautiful weather.  you'd play in your bouncy chair, and then when it was naptime you loved sleeping in the pack-n-play.  it was really windy, but you didn't mind, in fact, i think you loved it!

we took you on your first boat ride, but you weren't too sure about your life jacket.  it's still a little big, but  you look oh so cute.  daddy fished all weekend-he actually caught a few.

overall, it was a great weekend to get out of the city.  i hope you love being out in the country as much as i do.  one day we will have a bunch of land where you can run and play until your heart's content.  until then, we will enjoy the beautiful days in houston.

i love you, peanut!

2 months

My sweet E-

Time has flown by.  I can't believe that you are two months old.  I've done a horrible job keeping up with this blog, but it's because I love spending time with you.

We were on the road a lot in February.  We went to Crandall to visit with NeeNee and Pops the first weekend of the month.  It was freezing-the Arctic Blast of 2011 hit.  You got to meet all of the Cousins side of the family, including your Uncle Grant, who loves you oh so much.  I love watching you smile at him.  I can't wait to watch yall play together; you will have so much fun.  During this trip we also had your newborn pictures done.  A very good friend of ours, Allison Andrews, took your pictures and they are amazing!!  You did such a good job, and we had a wonderful time visiting with Allison, Michelle, and KiKi. You were exhausted after the pictures and slept the entire way back to Houston.

The following week we had to go back to Crandall, because one of Mommy's high school friends passed away.  Aunt LoLo kept you while I went to the memorial service.  She said yall had a lot of fun, but you did not want to take your bottle.  You were screaming when I finally got there-you were so happy to see me.

We also went on a trip to New Braunfels.  Daddy went fly fishing with Papa Tom and Aunt Grace, while you and I spent the day shopping in Gruene.  It was a great weekend!

You had your two month check up last week.  You are a growing girl - 11lbs. .04 oz. and 23 inches long.  You also got your shots, and man you were such a trooper.  You only cried for a little while, and you were in a pretty decent mood the rest of the afternoon.

-You have found and love your hands.
-You love bath time.
-You have rolled over twice from back to front.
-You are very good at rolling to your side.
-You love being outdoors and going for walks.
-You love praise and worship time during church.
-And you are sleeping through the night!!!-THANK YOU!

Meeting Uncle G.

Miss Priss,
You finally made your appearance, a week late, but that's okay.  We are so glad that you are here.  Mommy was in labor for 12 hours with you, but you didn't seem ready to meet us.  You were born at 7:13pm on January 3, 2011 by c-section.  You were such a big girl, weighing in at 8 lbs. 5.6 oz. and 20 inches long.  It was by far the best day of our lives!

So many people came to meet you.  You are loved so much by so many!  I'm so honored that God chose me to be your mom!
This is us before your first bath!
I love you, Emma, more than you will ever know!
